What Must I Do To Be Saved?

Salvation vs. Condemnation.

4. Confess Jesus As Lord

Confession is Required for Salvation

"that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation"
Ethiopian Eunuch

Philip & Ethiopian Eunuch

"And as they went along the road they came to some water; and the eunuch said, 'Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?' And Philip said, 'If you believe with all your heart, you may.' And he answered and said, 'I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God'"

What is Confession?

Ethiopian Eunuch
2. to own or admit as true.

When we "confess" we are admitting that Jesus is actually Lord. What does that mean? Lord means master or ruler. When one makes this confession by faith, they are agreeing to obey what the Lord says since He is our ruler.

This confession is when we publicly tell others about our belief in Jesus Christ and who He is.

When we have true faith, we will be willing to tell others about this faith. But when we confess Him as Lord, we are saying that we will do whatever He says.

What does Jesus say I must do be forgiven by His grace?
